Comic Book and Google Spreadsheets

comicsdb.jpg

I started using Google’s online spreadsheet software to start a comic book database since I seem to be making time for regular trips to A-1. My first impressions are that it seems simple to use, but if you are familiar with Microsoft Excel, options and settings may be in counterintuitive places. Formulas seem to work as expected (although I am not doing anything mathematically complex) and sheet organization is simple and user-friendly.

As a side note, the Marvel Zombies series is not to be missed. I just picked up a crossover edition with Army of Darkness. šŸ™‚

  1. You can publish a copy of that spreadsheet to this blog too… from the “publish” tab – go to more publishing options – and use the “html to embed in a webpage” format… Your blog entry will then update as you update the spreadsheet… or – use it to populate a little sidebar widget with a list of your favorite comics or whatever…
    Have fun!

  2. I was wondering how to do that. Thanks for the tip!
