Wii Weather? Seriously?
Ok, I know that the Wii is the coolest thing since sliced bread. I want one, you want one, we all want one. Wii accidents are funny, and we certainly cant get enough of them on youtube. Lets just get that out of the way. But…
Right now there are 1.9 million articles indexed in google.com that highlight the remarkable Wii ability to see what the weather is in Madison, Wisconsin. WTF?!? Why would I want (let alone need) my gaming console that costs hundreds of dollars to tell me the weather? I want to play games, I want to wave my arms around like an idiot and jump to the next magic toadstool to get the flaming flower to get the 99th crystal. If I want to know the weather, I can turn to the weather channel, or weather.com on the interweb from my mac, or look at the weather widget in OS X, or, if I need to know the weather at my locale, I can even look out the freaking window.
Wii rocks, but IMHO, this is taking convergence a bit too far. And dont even get me started on those Mii‘s
